We Need YOU

When you think of the word "advocate" what or who do you think of? Martin Luther King Jr., Malala Yousafzai or someone else might come to mind. These people and others like them have done incredible things to make our world a better place. Their advocacy has helped policies change for the better, helped people to see one another as equals, and so much more. While these people caused great changes in our world, not all great advocates are ones that you read in history books. In fact many of your neighbors, friends, and family may consider themselves to be advocates for a certain cause. Advocacy does not have to be intimidating or large by any means. In fact, you can do it from the comfort of your own home. Here are a few ideas that you can implement to begin your own journey in advocacy:

Make a Social Media Post

Post on social media about where someone can find help in overcoming their pornography addiction. Maybe include some facts that you learned while looking on our website or other trustworthy sources.

Attend a Conference

The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) is holding a conference October 26th through 27th where advocates from around the world are coming to unite in the fight against pornography. To learn more please visit, https://endsexualexploitation.org/. You can also find some previous and upcoming conferences on our website, citizensfordecency.org and on many other organizations’ pages.

Share our Blog Articles

Read and share our blog articles on your social media or with a friend who might need a word of encouragement. You can find them at, https://www.citizensfordecency.org/blog.

Share Others’ Stories

Share others' stories, with their permission, who may have struggled with porn in the past and have found healing. You never know, this could help others find the will to change.

Invite Others to Follow Us

Invite others to follow “Citizens for Decency” on their social media accounts! They can also visit, citizensfordecency.org where they will find great resources and contribute to a great cause!

Why is it so important to be an advocate, especially when it comes to standing up against pornography? People deserve to be made aware of the dangers of pornography and the role it plays in tearing families apart. We need all the hands we can get to eradicate this issue. Even the healing of one life could save many more from heartbreak and suffering. Any effort you put into advocating for the greater good helps make our world a better place. Never doubt the work you are doing, no matter how big or small. We need you!
