Pornography’s Tentacles Creeping Its Way into the Pillar of Society - Families

Pornography. Its powerful, relentless tentacles have crept their way into many of the world’s societies and have taken captive countless men and women’s thoughts in the most destructive ways. It is not discriminative of gender or age, nor does it care how many families it wreaks havoc on. Throughout history, families have been the pillar of societies. An implicit rule is that parents have the responsibility to keep their children safe and help them understand and uphold good, moral values, and be contributing citizens that help promote and sustain healthy societies. No matter what religious beliefs people have, the majority will agree that there is good and evil. If evil is allowed to grow, families will crumble, and societies will fail.

A few years ago, if a person wanted to engage in pornography, they would have to walk into a store to purchase magazines or order them through the mail. Today, it is instantly available through a click of the computer keyboard. It is being promoted through various industries, including well-known big tech companies that claim to support family values. The following statistics are borrowed from Fight the New Drug organization (https://fightthenewdrug.org/by-the-numbers-see-how-many-people-are-watching-porn-today/):

At the Citizens for Decency organization (www.citizensfordecency.org), we implore members of the public to help strengthen the pillars of our society – the family. Become involved and take a stand in the fight against pornography.
